Self Worth • Embodiment • Presence
And Rosemary Tincture 🌿
Self-development and wellbeing have been at the centre of my path for over 30 years now.
The beauty of my work is that it brings me back again and again to my beliefs - the healing power of yoga, nervous system work, embodiment, rest, creativity and emotional awareness. 🤍 alongside a healthy dose of my passion - astrology ✨
This Taurus New Moon 🌑 felt like a threshold into something new within my path.
The energy of this time is a reminder of slowness. Of simplicity. Of presence. Of rebuilding trust in the body and in life through what is steady and real.
In the Full Moon of Scorpio ♏️ two weeks previous I was on a wonderful retreat inspired by Beltane - embracing Rhiannon’s pathway where this part of my journey began. 🌹
And with the added luxury of having connected to my body on retreat the weekend previous 🍀, I felt comfortable diving deeply into the energy of Scorpio (authenticity, depth, psychological awareness and intimacy) alongside the grounding energy of Beltane (growth, passion, fire, joy and connection to nature).
We consciously chose to work with Intention and it is now 🌙 Day 6, Week 2 👏🏼 of my morning cacao ritual, which is slowly becoming an anchor, helping me embrace the day ahead, continue my self-awareness path and finding a steadier rhythm between rest and movement. I’m finding this beautiful ritual helps me to listen more closely to my body’s needs.
At the retreat we created a Scorpio Full Moon tincture using hawthorn blossom 🌸, leaves and thorns with alcohol and honey. Under the Nourishing New Moon of Taurus ♉️ this tincture was ready.
There’s something deeply regulating about working with nature this way - slowly, attentively, staying close to what the energies of the seasons and cycles - actually present in the body and this beautiful earth 💚 rather than rushing ahead of it or stuck in our thoughts.
As part of my own Chiron ❤️‍🩹 journey, so much of my own healing has been around self-worth, safety, my voice, and how I relate to my body. Learning that worth and self-acceptance isn’t something to achieve or prove, but something to return to through presence, repetition, and care.
And through my work with others, this becomes even clearer: 🙏🏼 healing isn’t about forcing change, it’s about creating enough safety inside to soften, listen, and reconnect. To find the expression of our authentic selves and learn to live fully in this expression with our own heart guiding the way.
It is my intention each new and full moon to create tinctures each to work with, a way of staying connected to the natural world and my own internal rhythms. 🌙 Not as something separate from life, but as part of it.
Under this New Moon in Taurus, Rosemary is in fullness and this felt like the right plant to work with.
🌿 Rosemary has traditionally been associated with memory, clarity, circulation and vitality. In a more energetic sense, it feels steadying and strengthening - especially in times of stress, fatigue or transition. To calm and balance the mind and cortisol (stress hormone) helps us rest more easily our body.
As I made the tincture, I placed these intentions (and more) within it:
đź’• I love my body wholly and completely
đź’• I am worthy, capable and deserving of love - both in giving and receiving
đź’• My body remembers how to feel, receive and trust
đź’• I am love - steady, present and alive within me.
More and more, I’ve realised how healing also comes through living more cyclically and consciously - paying attention to the rhythms within us, rather than overriding them.
🌿 So how might this help you if you’re feeling inspired by this journey as I was inspired on my retreats?
🌙 One moment of presence
Choose one small daily moment - drinking, eating, showering, walking - and stay fully with it. Not to improve it. Just to be.
🌿 A plant or natural object
Notice a plant, herb, flower or tree. Let it bring you back into your senses and the present moment for a few breaths.
đź’• A simple internal reminder (or affirmation) can be so healing
“I can meet myself where I am.”
“I don’t need to rush this.”
“I can stay with myself as I am.”
🌊 Listening to your own rhythms
Notice your patterns across the day or week -energy, fatigue, openness, tension. Not to change them, just to understand them a little more. What is your body asking of you?
🌙 Relationship over fixing
Instead of trying to improve yourself, you might ask: what happens if I simply stay with myself here, embracing and accepting what I see?
Happy New Moon in Taurus beautiful souls 🥰
